mission statement
Patricia Noworol's choreography concentrates on primal human responses to emotional stimuli. A devoted connoisseur of the visual arts as well as keen observer of everyday life, her works are filled with many aspects from the world of psychology and sociology. Growing up as a young child in Poland during the communistic era and then moving to Germany as a teenager, Patricia experienced European cultural conflicts that to this day are a foundation of her artistic impression.
Her theme-based works are etched in the human psyche and have created an abstract and symbolically rich art. By employing a highly detailed choreographic vocabulary along with carefully stylized visual and live sonorous elements, her pieces have produced feelings in the audience not usually experienced in the theaters.
Patricia's choreographies are much like abstract paintings. They are filled provocatively with life and passion demanding physicality and a commitment to excellence on the part of the performers. Her works are anatomically and architecturally sound with a keen understanding of the human form and its ability to move in space. Over the last few years, she has looked to continuously incorporate the use of multi-media techniques in her works.
