Diario Di Un Pazzo (Diary of the Crazy) was developed through a workshop process of exploring dancers’ real-life experiences. Six aggressive female dancers perform a physically challenging piece, which examines the gamut of human emotions including insecurity, nervousness, realization, panic and the need for flight. Their voices crowd the space as they blend into a unison story, explaining a lone woman’s real-life ordeal. Lighting, costumes and video effects assist in creating the chaotic disarray. Images are projected onto the women’s bodies already covered in white dresses that at times resemble straight jackets. All elements combine to reenact the emotions this story evokes.
Diario Di Un Pazzo was presented in 2008 in New York City at the MFA 2 NYU Tisch Dance Concert and at Delirium - Multimedia Dance Evening by Patricia Noworol Dance Co.
