Patricia Noworol Dance Company creates Physical Theater on all levels.
Through commissioning new works, setting repertory, holding master classes, lecture demonstrations, full workshops and open rehearsals, PNDC reaches out to an international audience for raw and thoughtful collaborations.
Technique studies include:
CONTEMPORARY DANCE TECHNIQUE CLASS by Patricia Noworol
Class begins with floor warm up exercises that focus on using less primary muscles. The class also includes ballet and modern dance fundamentals with the focus on natural physical placement, connecting motion, breathing, energy and emphasizing the weight of the body and natural suspension.
Students will be compelled to work with a broad range of actions, which will include harmony, dynamic and athletic movement to gesture, theatrical and dysfunctional movements.
Students will be encouraged to develop an individual style with an artistic freedom driven by the specificity of their bodies.
Patricia's studies and experience in Ballet, Modern / Contemporary Dance Techniques, Bartenieff Fundamentals, Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, acting and Alexander Technique assisted her in the development of this class.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Patricia holds a Masters Degree in Dance Education from Folkwang University of Essen, Germany. She also studied with Gerald Casel the Contemporary Dance Pedagogy as a part of her MFA Studies at NYU. She has taught dance in diverse styles (Contemporary, Classical, Jazz, Composition, Improvisation, Flamenco, Fittnes and Yoga) at the Public and Private Dance Schools & Universities in Germany cities (Cologne, Essen, Berlin and Munster). In New York City her classes has been held at the New Dance Group Arts Center and the Martha Graham Center of Contemporary Dance (“Deante Dance System” Class). |
